The Matriarchy project started with a feminist rap podcast with clubs on it's side. Now there has been a greater focus on clubs lately, but the podcast has been on the planning table and will soon be even more intact.

Open Mic evenings are low-threshold venues for women, non-binary and trans artists, who make music/spoken word loosely under the hip hop genre. Of course, the Matriarchy reaches rappers particularly well, so rap performances have still been in the majority. What matters is a relaxed, good vibe, where even novice artists dare to get on stage. Matriarkaatti has had lots of guys performing for the first time ever. There has also been a foreign quests in the show.
I approached the theme from the perspective of ancient tribe matriarchy with futuristic aesthetics. I wanted to create a character who reflects the diversity of women by using a lot of time to make the skin texture and create a gender neutral appearance of the character. It is important to me to represent the diversity of humanity in my work.
